About Us

Our mission is to share God's Word, comfort those who are hurting, and to help supply the needs of those who are struggling. We do this by following God's will as He leads us, from our speaking ministry, to radio and pod casts, to writing and publishing, volunteering at the church and food ministry. All donations to Salt and Light Ministry are distributed to children’s homes, women’s shelters, food pantries, missions and others in need. The voice of Salt and Light Ministry is Dr. Debra Peppers. For five years Dr. Peppers was the weekly host of the television program The Outreach Connection on WTJR-TV in Quincy, Illinois, and co-host of Quest for Character on KJSL radio, St. Louis. Debra hosted "Talk From The Heart with Dr. Debra Peppers" for 10 years, Monday through Friday “drive time” from 3pm to 6pm on KJSL radio. She also hosted the inspirational segment on the weekly television program "See Hear" on HEC-TV. While on the adjunct faculty of Webster University, Dr. Peppers taught Masters level courses in communication, education, theater and classroom instruction for teachers. For seven years, Dr. Peppers and her husband Bud co-hosted a weekly radio program on WQBQ AM and FM in Florida where they now live. In addition to spreading God's word through the media, she also is an accomplished professional speaker traveling nationally and internationally speaking to churches, schools, businesses, and community organizations. Every dollar donated to the ministry is used to provide for these various needs.
